Overview
Jaynic is an established private developer with a focus on business spaces and high-quality work environments.

Originally the Jaynic team had identified the potential for their site at Haverhill Research Park to become an innovation centre and approached us to formulate an operating model and investment case for the support of West Suffolk Council and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough combined authority.

Building on the success of the EpiCentre, we were then consulted to help with the next phase of development for the site.

Meeting local needs to drive economic growth
Solution

Having been appointed to manage the centre, we worked closely with the Jaynic team to repurpose parts of the building to create five dedicated, and two shared, tissue culture and microbiology labs.

  • Fully equipped, fit-for-purpose lab spaces
Lab spaces with valuable assets including hazardous waste disposal, gases, purchasing discounts, and specialist support from a dedicated lab supervisor.
  • A high-quality science hub close to Cambridge
The out-of-town location provides the perfect combination of proximity to Cambridge without the pitfalls of crowded pedestrian areas, busy city roads, and parking restrictions.
  • A vibrant space with work and wellbeing at heart
The EpiCentre is light and bright and provides co-working spaces, meeting rooms, and labs for life science biotech companies. It is surrounded by green spaces and for those all-important daily breaks too.

"Joining The EpiCentre supported our need for access to laboratory facilities resulting in significant growth.”

“Halo Labs Ltd joined The EpiCentre in the middle COVID-19 as we pivoted to a new way of working. As a US-Based Biotech company with a significant European client base, we needed access to laboratory facilities to allow for growth in our business, focusing on the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Joining The EpiCentre helped support these efforts resulting in significant growth in both our client base, and our product offering.”

"Our office space at the EpiCentre grew with our number of staff and has excellent facilities.”

“We came to The Epicentre in April 2021, as we needed bigger office space and a better environment than where we had been previously. Our office staff grew as did our need for professional offices.

The EpiCentre suited us for the space we needed there together with the provision of the kitchen area and reception service. All these factors boosted staff morale and was exactly what we needed.”
